Sarah Richmond, MSW

Licensed Master Social Worker

Supervised by Emily Martin, LCSW-S

Sarah Richmond is a Licensed Master Social Worker who specializes in treating anxiety, panic attacks, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)—especially the kinds that often go unnoticed. Her clients are often caught in loops of mental checking, overwhelmed by fears of being a “bad person,” or stuck chasing a sense that things need to feel “just right.” Many come to her after years of being told they “just have anxiety,” only to discover there’s something deeper driving it.

Sarah is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD, and blends it with tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. She believes in showing up as a real human in the therapy room and creating space for clients to do the same.

Sarah earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma and her Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. While working in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, Sarah saw firsthand how often OCD goes misdiagnosed or misunderstood, and how hard it can be to find therapists who truly know how to help. That experience shaped her passion for getting people the right diagnosis and giving them the tools to work with their brains, not against them.

Sarah is supervised by Emily Martin, LCSW. You can reach Sarah by text, phone call, or email to schedule a free consultation.
